The New WHCR has broadcast interviews with hundreds of individuals and local organisations and you may well have seen our Community reporters at many events, talking with organisers and visitors alike.

Tune in to 106.9FM and you’ll find out what’s happening where you live. We broadcast regular weather and travel updates and promote forthcoming events that may be of interest to our listeners and encourage them to go along and support. We also broadcast regular updates on issues which affect our lives with interviews with representatives from Hull City Council, NHS Hull and other public bodies. These are repeated through the week enable as many people as possible to hear them.

We also present a number of specialty features and shows including WHCR Country, The Fab Four at 4, The Folk Show and The Rock Show.

The New WHCR Board of Directors ensures we operate in the way we originally set out to do. This includes operating a company both from a legal aspect and within broadcasting guidelines set by the Government’s official body OFCOM. The Board of Directors also oversees the financial side of WHCR and fund raising plans in addition to delegating WHCR activities to the Executive Committee.

The New WHCR Executive Committee are paid members of staff and look after the day to day running of The New WHCR. This team will effectively be "trainers" to develop the skills of people just like you to be able to broadcast on The New WHCR!

The New WHCR Community Advisory Board gives feedback to the Executive Commitee. Open meetings are organised to enable anyone to give direct feedback on our programmes and activities.
